we conduct non-intrusive inspections using our specialised small end (8mm) cameras. We begin by drilling a small hole, which allows us to carefully inspect the cavity walls. Our cameras provide a clear view of the insulation, enabling us to assess its condition. In some cases, we may need to remove a brick and extract a sample of the insulation. This sample can serve as evidence for potential compensation claims in the future, if necessary.

If your walls have render or other coatings, we recommend drilling internally to avoid damaging the coating. This precaution helps maintain the integrity of your wall's exterior finish.

I am Justin Kitteridge an expert cavity wall inspector and surveyor. I have a wealth of knowledge of surveying cavity walls gained from owning and running a cavity wall insulation installation and removal firm from 2008 until 2023.

During this period I became a BBA approved installer of cavity wall insulation. Though I spent most of my time surveying properties, having run an insulation business and worked as an installer myself, I have also gained invaluable expert knowledge of how insulation should be correctly installed when inspecting and assessing a cavity wall for defects.

As the insulation business evolved I found that many properties had problems due to poorly or incorrectly installed insulation. The company became a specialist in dealing with and advising on cavity wall insulation issues, advising many councils and housing associations on their housing stock. This extended to advising on problems with new builds that had been built without meeting the correct specifications.

In 2022 I began a residential surveying course for building condition reports. I am a qualified retro fit assessor looking at various housing stock. I have experience on new build and refurbishment projects gaining a wide breadth of knowledge of the building industry.
